UK demand on pallet hauliers means there's a delay on most orders which means regretfully we may not be able to deliver on your chosen date. We ask for your patience & courtesy. Verbal abuse to our staff will not be tolerated!

Product Specification

Pictures are for illustration purposes only. Product can vary due to raw material supply and seasonality.

Payment terms are payment in full by credit or debit card prior to despatch of the order or similarly cheques will be accepted along with a written order. However these orders will not be despatched until the payment has cleared in our bank account.

Credit accounts
Traders or bulk purchasers are welcome to apply for a credit account via one of our credit application forms (available upon request). Please note we reserve the right to perform the relevant credit checks.

Availability & Delivery

Please note that Next Day delivery is currently not available.

Easter 2022 - Please note the last day for Standard Delivery before Easter is 14/04/22. The first available day for Standard delivery after Easter is 22/04/22.

We will endeavour to deliver any goods within 7 working days but no liability can be accepted if unforeseen circumstances prevent this. However, in line with our customer services policy we will advise you of any particular delay. To prevent any issues arising, please ensure that your order is placed well in advance of any works to be carried out that require such materials.

Standard Delivery is free on all orders.

For customers requiring our next day delivery service, please ensure orders are placed online before 10am on the day prior to the actual day required. Orders placed after this time will not be despatched until the following day so please allow 24 hours for delivery. Please note this will still attract the £20.00 next day delivery charge. Orders placed on a next day service, unfortunately cannot be 'booked' in for delivery due to the short time frame available. Please ensure that an adult is available to receive and sign for the delivery on the designated delivery day. If nobody is at the delivery location to receive the delivery after a period of 15 minutes, the goods will be returned to depot and a charge of £45.00 plus vat will apply.

Next Day Delivery excludes weekends and bank holidays.

North of Scotland

Delivery to postcodes DD, KW, IV, PH, AB, PA is £45. Next day delivery is unfortunately not available to these postcodes.

Regional surcharge
Delivery to postcodes G, DG, EH, SA, TA, EX, TQ, PL, TR1-20 & TR26-27 is £15. Next Day Delivery is not available to these postcodes.

Delivery Restrictions
Please note we do not deliver to: Northern Ireland, Shetland Islands, Western Isles, Orkney Islands, Channel Islands, Isles of Scilly, Isle of Wight.

Delivery of bark, top soil and similar bulky items are delivered in either 1 or 2 cubic metre bulk bags which sit on a typical UK transit pallet. The carriage Company will unload the product by means of a tail lift system and a trolley truck to the roadside only. This ground must be of a tarmac or concrete surfacing and must not interfere with vehicles or block the public right of way. Please note once the delivery is performed and a signature to confirm delivery has been acquired, the responsibility and the liability of the goods becomes yours. For all orders placed with our regular delivery service (i.e non next day deliveries) we will arrange for the delivery to be booked in at least 24 hours prior to the delivery day. Our carriers will endeavour to give an approximate delivery time i.e am or pm but no liability can be accepted for deliveries that are not performed within these guidelines. Please ensure that an adult is available to receive and sign for the delivery on the designated delivery day. If nobody is at the delivery location to recieve the delivery after a period of 15 minutes, the goods will be returned to depot and a charge of £45.00 plus vat will apply.

Please be aware that the pallet truck cannot pass over gravel or any type of rough terrain and similarly the driver cannot be expected to pull the goods up or down a sloping driveway or over curbs.

Timed delivery
We are able to perform any specific delivery either on a ‘AM’ or ‘PM’ basis, this attracts an additional delivery charge, please enquire for charges.

It is the customer’s responsibility to advise ourselves at the time of ordering of any potential access problems such as weight, height and length of delivery vehicle so that we can arrange delivery of the particular product on a smaller vehicle. If notice is not given of any such problem we reserve the right to return the product to our depot and charge you for the carriage element of the order. Please read our information on How we Deliver

Damaged/faulty goods
Any defective goods will be replaced or refunded if proven to be sub-standard as long as we are notified within 10 working days.

Pallets & Packaging

All pallets and packaging are non returnable and cannot be collected by ourselves.

Risk & Title
The risk of the product passes to the customer upon delivery. The title of the goods remain the property of ourselves until payment has been performed in full.

It is the duty of care of the customer to walk the site after application of materials and remove any extrenuating, oversized particles.

Loss in transit
Please notify us in writing if your order has not arrived within the time stipulated.

Refusal of goods/wrongly ordered goods:

If Playbark.com have delivered the incorrect goods, we will gladly collect them or the Customer can refuse to accept delivery and there will be absolutely no expense to the Customer whatsoever.

However, if the goods have been incorrectly ordered by the Customer, we will gladly arrange collection of the goods or additionally if the Customer refuses to accept the delivery of the goods (in the event of the goods been incorrectly ordered) the transport costs will have to be paid by the Customer.

These costs will include the cost of the delivery from ourselves or our Supplier to the Customer’s property and similarly the cost of returning the goods from the Customer’s property back to ourselves or our Supplier.

We politely ask all Customers to double check the details before transmitting/placing the order as these costs cannot be waivered; Please be aware, we do not profit from these transport costs, they are the exact costs which Playbark.com incur from the transport Company.

All the contents of this website remain the property of ourselves and therefore any extraction of any part of this web site is not permitted unless specific consent has been granted.

Consequential loss
We will not be held responsibility for any loss of profitability, manpower, hire of machines or similar issues due to any reason that is beyond our control. However this does not affect your Statutory Rights.

Wood shards

Sustainably enjoying natures natural products such as wood chip or play bark has so many wonderful advantages however, during the manufacturing and screening process a small proportion of larger pieces of wood, ie ‘wood shards’ may fall through the screens and be contained in the finished product. If these wood shards are considered to be a hazard and in line with good practice ‘post installation’, they can be physically removed, by hand.
